Samaritan Medical Center will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive today (October 30th) from 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The drive will be held in the hospital’s Conference Room 2B on the second floor.

“The need for blood is always present regardless of the time of year,” said Tony Marra, Director of Laboratory Services at SMC. “We make sure to set a goal of 25 pints of blood for each blood drive that we host. We are lucky enough to live a community that is committed to do the most that it can for each other, and a blood drive is no different. Samaritan exceeded our goal with our August blood drive, and the hope is to do the same this month.”

Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. Appointments can be made by calling or emailing Mr. Marra at 315-785-4506 or amarra@shsny.com.
